When you ask for full service catering, it helps to describe what you want the team to handle. You may need food preparation and service, help with the meal setup, or a more detailed plan for a wedding or private event.
The phrase can mean different things in different proposals. For your Palm Springs or Coachella Valley event, confirm the actual services, timing and equipment before you book.
Build the plan around your event
Start with the date, location, guest count and menu. Explain how you want the meal to fit into the occasion. A family gathering at a rental home has different practical details from an event at a staffed venue.
Share access times, kitchen information and any requirements from the property. If there are several spaces involved, explain where guests will gather and where the food will be served.
Agree on the service responsibilities
Ask what the catering team will do before, during and after the meal. Your proposal should make the agreed scope clear.
- When the team will arrive and when food service will begin
- Which setup tasks are included
- How the meal will be served
- What staffing is included for the service you have chosen
- Which clearing and cleanup tasks are covered
- When the catering service will finish
Discuss drinks, dessert service and any additional requests separately. Confirm availability and pricing before treating them as part of the plan.
Know who is supplying the tableware
Desert Dine includes serving platters and serving utensils for family style and buffet service. Guest plates and cutlery are separate items to confirm. Rentals are separate.
Check the venue inventory against your proposal. Identify who is supplying any guest plates, glasses, linens, tables or other equipment you need. Include the delivery, setup and return arrangements in your planning checklist.
Talk through the practical details
For an outdoor event, discuss the food service location and the venue’s weather backup. Allow access for the team to move between the preparation and dining areas.
Share dietary requests while choosing your menu. Desert Dine takes precautions, but cannot guarantee zero cross contact. Ask about a specific allergy or preparation requirement before confirming the booking.
If a planner, venue contact or another vendor is involved, decide who will communicate changes to the meal schedule. Keep one current version of the event details.
Review the proposal before confirming
Check the menu, guest count, service scope and total together. Use the payment and cancellation terms in your actual agreement rather than general price ranges from a planning article.
For catering or a private chef meal with Desert Dine, start with our menus and tell us what you are planning. Once the menu is chosen and the needed details are in place, a proposal can be ready in minutes.
